Next Week In Reading
Phonics/Phonemic Awareness: R controlled vowels
Comprehension: Use illustrations and details in a story to describe its characters, setting, or events.
Grammar: subject pronouns
Spelling words: far, arm, yard. art, jar, bar, barn, bark, card, yarn
FRY words- over, new, sound, take, only
Vocabulary: whispered, clues, detectives, clever, poked, sneaky
Next Week In Math
Next week we will start laying the foundation for double digit addition by learning how to add 10's. For example, 20+30= 60, 45+20-65, etc. We will use the 100's chart for support.
Homework
Monday- Put spelling and FRY words in ABC order
Tuesday- Math Problem
Wednesday- Read, Frog & Toad, In the Garden
Thursday- Math Problem
Students should read a minimum of 20 minutes each evening.
