Pirate Night
Pirate night is this Wednesday from 5:30- 7 pm! Mrs. Kublank has put together a fun night to promote and celebrate reading. Students are welcome to dress up as a pirate or wear their PJ's. Thank you for donating the snack items needed. I hope to see you there!
Xtra Math
This week I introduced students to Xtra math. This is a great math fact program that I use in the classroom during math centers. Students are also able to access this program at home. Today, in yellow folders, I am sending home a flyer that explains how to get on the program from home. While it is not required, I encourage students to utilize this program to practice addition math facts. Let me know if you have any questions.
Family Member Picture
I will be teaching trait inheritance in October and would love to relate this concept to students real lives. If possible, please send in a picture of a parent or other family member (aunt, cousin, sibling) from when they were younger. Please label the envelope with your child's name so that I can return the picture to you. Please do not show your student the picture. We have a great time showing the pictures and matching them to a student in the class. Please send in pictures by Oct. 9. Thank you!
