Next Week In Science
The Sun- Students will identify that the sun is a star that emits energy; some in the form of light. The sun can also heat objects and when the sun is not present heat can be lost.
Next week In Social Studies
Southwest Region- We will be looking at the climate, landforms, culture, food and industry of the Southwest region. Students will be expected to identify the states of this region. A study guide will be sent home and should stay in their binder so that they can study the states each night.
States within the Regions
As we begin our regions unit students will be expected to identify each state within the region. Below is a link to a website that you child can use to help learn their states. www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm
Homework
Students' nightly homework assignments will generally consist of reading for 30 minutes, a lesson on iReady reading, a lesson in PENDA science, and a math practice page. Please see student planners for exact daily homework.
